Justin Gomes:
I was basically a jock, growing up in California until MTV
came around and I was exposed to the other side.. Depending
on who you ask, it's a good thing or a bad thing
an obsession
or a blessing.. Anyhow, I will forever owe a debt of gratitude
to the band Def Leppard. Strange as it my seem, it was this
band that was the turning point in my life and turned a young
jock's baseball bat into a sizzling rock axe that produced
no sound while performing in front of an audience that consisted
of only my image in the mirror looking back at me. My trophies
and pennants were history and replaced with musical instruments
and teams became bands. I play several instruments but it
wasn't till I picked up a bass that I discovered my musical
voice. I'm about all that is low end and love anything that
grooves (Marcus Miller is the man..). Some of my greatest
life experiences have come from my bands in California, Oregon
and Colorado (my favorite of the 3). My musical tastes' cover
a broad range from Rock to Funk to Christian to Contemporary
Jazz and everything in between. I still take on studio projects
and am fortunate enough to still find time to serve on the
worship team at my church.
I feel very fortunate to have found a place in Battery Park.
I hope our talent and love of music shows in all that we do
together. Thanks for listening!
Go
Lakers! (yeah, I said it....)
